Choosing a Magnet or Trunk-Lip K40
This kit offers the choice of a magnet or a trunk-lip K40 antenna. The magnet mount option is, by far, the most popular choice as it can be mounted just about anywhere - the roof, the trunk, etc. However, if you do have a vehicle with a trunk lip you can save by going that route.
If you'd like to permanently install the K40 on your vehicle (via drilling a hole in your roof), select the trunk-lip version. It includes all the hardware you'll need for permanent install, with the trunk-lip adapter sliding right off.
